How to Browse like its 2006

I’ve been thinking more and more about creating a links section for this site, to link to pages taht I think are cool or that are friends across the internet. I think I still will one day but I thought that it might be cool to do sporadic link dumps of websites I’ve been browsing or have found recently. These dumps will be whenever I have enough to fill up a post but will mostly be a way to remember things (i hate using bookmarks, i never go back and look). Perhaps if you are reading this you can find yourself spending more time browsing the internet like we used to do, instead of just doom scrolling about the current state of our so-called democracy.

Not a lot of links for June but I’m still working on changing my browsing habits. There has been a lot of USA political drama recently which has kept me more glued to social media more than I want, but i’m working on slowing that down. I’m going to do a better job in the future of keeping track of sites I find interesting, even if they aren’t being updated currently or have been dormant for a long time. A site doesn’t need to be current to have value, especially these days.

UPDATE

I wrote this out and put in links and didn’t like the way it looked. So I decided to write my first custom shortcode in order to format links for a link dump. as of now, I like the way it looks but since its a shortcode I can easily fiddle with it.
