The pentax auto 110 is such a conundram. Not the only 110 SLR but definitely the smallest to hit the market, it seems like such a funny arms-race to us, now, in 2024, who has a camera in the most powerful and stupid device mankind could ever dream up which we carry with us all the time. To see a company bend over backwards to create a pretty sophisticated, mechanical wonder half the size of a pack of cigarettes (or like… one really chunky box-mod if vaping is more your style) is wild to see today. The amount of work that went into, first, launching the 110 format, getting labs on board with developing that cartridge based film, the equipment needed to make prints and then launching an SLR, a premium camera in a market full of very cheap, practically disposable 110 cameras. Its a sisyphisian challenge!
This is my Auto 110 kit, which is missing a few things. I believe i have one other lens which I found separate from this kit. Upon quick inspection this camera still seems to be functioning, I just need to replace the two batteries and throw in some film.
