Sitting in my Olympus XA, nestled firmly in a drawer was a nearly complete roll of Kodak Gold 200. I don’t know what happened but I never rewound or developed it until earlier this month. Since I now have a reasonably close place to drop off film I’m trying to make more of an effort to shoot on the cameras I’ve collected over the years.
It really was amazing going through these, seeing old memories preserved in a new way, reminding us of them over again. In a way, it’s the exact promise of film, a micro time capsule.
