Even though I was a capital-H Horror Junkie, I’ve never seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show. When I was younger I wouldn’t let myself enjoy that as it felt too mainstream, too much of a normie thing to do. By the time I would stop caring about that sort of thing, it just never came up! I lived my life without it. So when it came up in conversation this Halloween, we had to go. And it was great! I decided to load the Olympus Accura up with my favorite Black & White film, Ilford XP2 400. It’s a C-41 processed bw film, so a lot of people discount it as not “true” BW. You lose out on the convenience of being able to process it yourself, but you get EXCELLENT contrast, sparkly whites and dreamy mid-tones. It’s the bw film I’ve shot on the most. There were a few shots I tried to get off in the theater without flash that came out blurry (surprise surprise) as well as a few missed focused street shots where I was shooting from the hip.
This roll really impressed me! I love this camera. It looks so remarkably average but it really have everything I need and it was cheap. I am CONSTANTLY surprised by how sharp the lens seems, even though it never makes it to any of the prestige camera lists. My only complaint is I didn’t buy them both when I saw them in the shop!
Reliable point & shoot with few options.
