November 16th and 17th of 2024 was Fallout Day in Goodpsrings, NV. Catrena and I are both fans of the series, and also fans of events like Renaissance Fairs so this felt like the perfect cross section of our interests. We decided to spend one night out in Vegas on Fremont Street where we stayed in one of the oldest hotel rooms in the city. El Cortez Hotel & Casino offered a great room with decent light so we were able to shoot some photos on my Fujifilm XT-3. We were also able to get some decent shots on this Arista 400 edu DX that I had loaded into the Olympus Accura. I had never shot this before but for 8 bucks, DX coded and 400 speed it seemed like a worthwhile endeavor. I brought 2 rolls with me but only ended up shooting this one. I liked the look, especially against the glitz of Vegas. When we get out to the desert and check in to our hotel room in Primm, it continued to work great. I like the night shots in the desert and the photo of Mr House experimenting with jet. It was a fun weekend, next year when we go back I’ll bring something that is more thematic.
Reliable point & shoot with few options.
